A Space for All Ages
The City of Johnson City applied for a BlueCross Healthy Place grant, looking to provide residents with a new community space in a well-loved park. The BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee Foundation invested $750,000 in the project, and the completed space features play areas, fitness stations, a swing set and a community pavilion.

Playground
The BlueCross Healthy Place features play areas for children ages 2-5 and 5-12. Features include slides, freestanding play elements and ground-level play equipment.
Fitness Stations
The space has several fitness stations with a variety of equipment, including a recumbent cycle, chest press and cardio walker.
